I am a girl at 22 and I am already noticing deep wrinkles around my eyes. I cannot understand this, as my parents do not have a lot of wrinkles and neither have my brothers and sisters. It is so frustrating! I am too young for this! Can you please recommend something that might help? What kind of products should I use and what ingredients should I look for? Aha and bha? Or is there really nothing that I can do? And by the way, what's happened to the mineral makeup report?
Actual reduction is generally possible only by using prescription strength creme (like Retin-A). Controversial in one so young, but Botox inhibits muscle movement to smooth out lines (laugh lines for example)
Reduction in appearance is possible using any of the good over the counter moisturizers (Olay, for one), exfoliation (to encourage sloughing off dead cells)., use of antioxidants (green tea, vitamin c, etc.) Use of AHA or BHA for exfoliation depends on the cause of the wrinkles - if it's sun, AHA is supposed to be better. BHA (usually salicilic acid) is better if you need to exfoliate inside the pores or have oily skin.
Prevention is obviously the best. Wear sunscreen, don't tan, tdon't smokie, son't overindulge in alcohol. etc.!
