Eyebrow Growing?
  • What's the difference between products like Anastasia Brow Enhancing Serum and Talika Eyebrow Lipocils, and do they really help eyebrow hair grow faster? Thanks so much for all the input!
  • I can't find a list of ingredients for either product (Anastasia's site appears to be down) so I don't know what the active ingredient is in either product. I reviewed a similar product (Brow Boost from Billion Dollar Brows) for the Brains about a year ago. The active ingredient in that is "saw palmetto lipidic sterolic,"  which is basically a folk remedy. I used it for 60 days (the review says 30 but I continued using the product until the tube ran out or I got sick of it, I've forgotten which) and it didn't make any difference at all.
Even though these products may all contain different active ingredients, I doubt they really work. A product that effectively grows or regrows hair would be incredibly profitable. They could price it as high as they wanted and people would still buy it. If any of these brow products really worked, it would be so sought after you wouldn't be able to get your hands on it. If you could find it in a store, you'd be trampled by stampeding herds of middle-aged men attempting to recapture their youth when you tried to purchase it, no matter how expensive it was. When someone comes up with a product that really works, we'll all know. The commercials will be as ubiquitous as the ones for Cialis and Viagra.

A while ago, someone was looking for an eyebrow product that contained fibers. I think they were looking for Talika eyebrow extender.

  • Oh no, I was really hoping that one would work! Ah well, thanks for the advice. Now at least I won't waste any more money on it....I really wish they would post the ingredients though. The Anastasia product has to be the only one on Sephora.com without a complete ingredient write-up. Which is odd. But not as odd as hordes of balding men swarming beauty departments would be...

    Thanks for the laugh!
