How does one become a cosmetic chemist?
  • This question isn't strictly beauty related, but it is nonetheless very important:
What are the steps (education/majors/courses) that one must take to become a cosmetic chemist?
I would guess majoring in chemistry would be a start, but how does one become specialized in cosmetics as opposed to, say a chemist working in the oil and gas industry?

I'm a senior in high school and as corny as it sounds, I want to be a cosmetic chemist when I grow up, and I thought that this would be the best place to look for some guidance (love the site, by the way! so... inspirational).
I'd really love some advice as to how to go about realizing this ambition :)

    Thanks!
