Has anyone tried Bionova products (https://www.bionovalab.com/bionova/Customer/index.jsp)? If so, to what results? Does the claim of nanotech-delivered ingredients have any legs to stand on? Is this technology safe for pregnant women? I am a skeptic by nature and probably of the same opinion as the writer of this article http://www.technologyreview.com/Nanotech/18302/, but at the same time, I am vain enough that if I could find a simple solution to my adult acne breakouts (probably stress- and hormone-related) and hyperpigmentation/scarring, I would willingly pay whatever premium. Thanks for any feedback.
Also, the Bionova salesgirl at Barney's claimed that sunscreens/sunblocks were part of the problem that Bionova provides a solution to, and that if one is on the Bionova regimen one can completely forego sunblock because skin cells are able to protect themselves naturally. I am 100% wary of quitting my sunblock, considering everything I have been told since age 16 by my dermatologist. Any opinions about this particular aspect - sun protection whilst on Bionova - are also appreciated.
No matter what the Barney's girl says, don't stop using sunscreen. It is the number one thing you can do to keep you skin looking and feeling healthy. (Not smoking is number 2).
The nanotech claims are complete BS (and that doesn't stand for beauty science). Acne products are regulated OTC (over the counter) drugs and there's really not much different than these products and standard stuff you can buy at the grocery store. I certainly wouldn't pay $35 for 0.5 ounces! Especially because it won't work better.
