I came across an interesting new form of Zinc Oxide made by a company called Antaria (previously Advanced Nanotechnology). It's called ZInclear-IM. Zinclear's been around for a while now, but apparently the company has now made true micron-sized zinc oxide with even better transparency than its older nano form. The average size of Zinclear-IM particle is greater than I micron (which = 1000nm). In light of the concern about nanoparticles, do you think this would be a safer option? Incidentally, what's the pigment-grade particle size? Finally, I've heard that Zinc Oxide is not as effective as the likes of TInosorb or Mexoryl. Is that true? Any ideas?
