Thanks, everyone, for talking about what products you've been buying and/or love. When someone has been particularly enthusiastic about an item here on the discussion page, I go to epinions.com to get even more info. I don't know if any of you ever use it as a resource, but I like it a lot. I usually find very thorough reviews!
Examples: Stiles Smudge Pots and Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer - Check it out: RAVE REVIEWS!
Amazon is another good place to look when you want more details on a beauty product. Lots of enthusiasm there for Smudge Pots, as well.
Years ago I discovered Epinions but I got frustrated because the reviews seemed to be dated. Perhaps they have re-invigorated the site now and are keeping more current. Thanks for the reminder.
i find that solid, current reviews are difficult to find.
i agree with you judy about epinions and have been frustrated by the sites such as make up alley etc., which seem poorly organized and treat various shades of a product as a different 'review'. epinions, for all of it's dated material is at least constructive and well organized.
uggggggggggg
(sorry for venting, guess i'm really hoping we can do better here perhaps??? we seem like a pretty sharp crew)
You certainly can kill a lot of time at epinions.com. I checked it out and am now very well informed about digital cameras and the new iphone although I'm not in the market for either. Never did make it to the beauty section; maybe next time.
i enjoy user review websites like epinions, but my trouble with them is either finding the product i'm interested in in their database, or finding no or too few reviews on the product. it was easier to find my products on amazon, but still the products could have fewer than five reviews, if at all.
