The Body Shop Aloe Calming Facial Cleanser

    How does The Body Shop Aloe Calming Facial Cleanser clean when it has absolutely no SLS/SLES in it? The ingredients suggest that it is more of a moisturizer.
    I'm confused.

    It cleans beautifully. It's the ONLY cleanser I will ever use at the moment. My skin feels soft, clean and non-irritated afterwards
    Give it a try. SLS and SLES are not the ONLY detergent and foaming agents around you know.

    I have tried this cleanser and did not like it at all- and I really wanted to. It leaves a weird oily film on my skin. I wear a mineral powder foundation and it didn't remove anything. If you don't wear makeup, I imagine this cleanser is ok. It did leave my skin quite soft and moisturized, but it was never able to adequately clean, even after 3 washes. I had to go back to my old cleanser. Perhaps the foaming aloe cleanser will work better, but I haven't tried it. The Body Shop will give you a sample of the cleansers. Definitely try before you buy. I imagine that it could make a great moisturizer.

    Unfortunately, this did not work. It made my skin feel really soft & moisturized but made me break out like a bitch in the morning.
    May be god for seriously dry skin but my combo skin can't be cleansed with this.

    I have tried their Aloe Foaming cleanser too & it works a lot better than this, though that one is a bit drying.
    I also bought the Aloe Day cream & it is so greasy. I don't think Body Shop products are any good for the face.

    Back to Clinique Liquid Facial Soap (Mild) for now.
