Hello, ok well this is really embarassing.
I am 15 years old girl and i just wanted to know why some people (like me) sweat alot? when ever i go school i always use the roll on or body spray but even if i use both (even one's with antiperspiritant) i still sweat soo much. So i just wanted to know why it happens alot ,at my age especially and if there is any good roll on i can use to help stop this and also if its bad to use roll on all the time? i realllyyyyy need something because when i sweat i get really big wet patches on my clothes, plus i dont just sweat just when i am nervous, basically when i go school ,half an hour later in school i am already sweating like mad, when i am just out and about with my friends i sweat like mad, i just sweat soo much even in winter!
pleaseeeeeeee help! thanksss
It won't fix your problem, but try one of the new "clinical" antiperspirant deodorants that have recently come out. They are a little more expensive and are sold in a box in the deodorant aisle and they may be of some help to you. If you talk to your parents and go see a doctore they may have stronger antiperspirants available for you.
Also, I'm sure they won't do this for a 15 year old but when you are older you may want to look into Botox. A lot of people have been getting Botox injected into their underarms and it stops the sweating for up to 6 months.
Faz, I had the same problems you have, starting when I entered puberty. From my doctor I got a prescription for a liquid antiperspirant called Drysol. It made my armpits dry as a bone. It is still available, and there is also a generic version of it. I still use it. My HMO pays for most of it (except the co-pay), and it lasts a long time because I only have to use it about once a week.
For my underarms I now use Secret Clinical strength. I use the Drysol on my feet, which also sweat excessively. I think that the Drysol may be stronger than the Secret Clinical Strength.
If a clinical strength over the counter anti-perspirant does not work, then I second vananners' suggestion that you see a doctor.
This is a website that gives great information, and they have a section for teens. It is for the International Hyperhydrosis Society. http://www.sweathelp.org/English/
Good luck!
Try Certain Dri. It's been around for a long time and you can find it with the other deoderants. I think it works better than the new secret and degree formulas and it's fragrance free. The new clinical strength products have an overwhelming amount of fragrance.

hey everyone, thank you all sooo much for your help, espicailly bluecatbaby! it helps when someone has the same problem as you because you can relate to them and they know how it feels!
I just wanted to know one other thing, if i use these stong anti-perspirant is it bad for my body? as my armpits are the most place i sweat and my mum said its not good to block the sweat as it is a natural thing that happens and its not good to keep the bad sweat all in.
If you sweat a lot (and by that I mean that it's extreme), your body is probably having a hard time getting rid of toxins and waste (stuff your body doesn't need) so if you really want to take care of the cause of the problem you might want to consider to do a detox (best to talk with a nutrionist or doctor for alternative medicine) and start eating healthier if this is not already the case.
That's not always true, Kitten. Some people just have more sweat glands then other people. (And there's even been cases where kids were born with little to no sweat glands.) They even came up with a procedure to suck out excess sweat glands years ago.
I seem to recall the Brains doing a debunking of the whole idea that "detoxing" occurs through sweat glands anyhow. Sweat glands produce ... sweat. That's about it.
Just scanning them, I don't see any mention of needing to detox.
I always found the detox stuff doesn't cause any sweating but rather a lot of expelling of - shall we say solid wastes?
it might be just a phase. i was sweating a certain period of time when i was a teenager. now i don't and can go 5 days without a shower and not smell bad.
