So I get fully made up maybe once a year to go to a concert or something (saw David Daniels at Disney Hall last March, will be going to the Pennsylvania Ballet this December), but it became mildly clear to me last March that powder foundation is no longer the best idea for me.
Now, I'm not looking to look airbrushed and I do not want to look like a Botox addict, so I'm a bit nervy about going to the MAC counter and asking for their advice because they will scare the shit out of me, or I will scare the shit out of them. So I'm asking you people:
What's a good, basic LIGHT foundation that can be stippled with a good brush and won't make me look like I'm a middle-aged trophy wife who's scared of my husband's secretary?
From cheaper to more expensive, I like Sally Hansen Inspired by Carmen, Intervene by Elizabeth Arden, and for warm weather, Parure Extreme by Guerlain. I'm 51 with very sensitive skin.
