Super Pricey Serum from 3Lab, does it worth it?

Hello Beauty Brains,

I love your blog and it helped me a lot with deciding which product to buy.

I wanted to get your opinion on this brand 3Lab which has ridiculously expensive products. For example, one of their serums costs $575! I wanted to ask you if there is something that magican on the ingedient list that makes the price so high.
From what I understood the main ingredient is a petide that supposes to reduce appearance of wrinkles.
Could you please look at this ingredient list?

Thank you

  • Very interesting (and very over-priced!) I'll take a look at this when I get a chance.
  • Thank you, sorry about the grammar, I was in a rush :)
  • The only ingredients in this formula that have been proven to have anti-aging benefits (as far as I know) are the peptides. Those are available in other products at a much lower price so I'm hard pressed to imagine how this product is worth almost $600.

Still, I'm keeping an open mind and I've reached out to the company and asked for a copy of the clinical test that is mentioned on their website. If they provide me with any additional information I'll share it here.

Thanks a lot for your reply, it would be great to see results from the clinical test.
  • For what it's worth, I received an answer from 3Lab the day after I contacted them asking for the clinical study which they referenced on their website.

    Here's the response:

    Dear Mr. Schueller,
Thank you for reaching out to us. May I ask, what is the name of your blog or publication?

    Christina Oresajo
    Communications & Marketing  Manager

Here's what I said in return:

    Hi Christina,

Thanks for the quick response. I'm a cosmetic chemist and cofounder of the Beauty Brains website. (

One of our readers asked about your product and I'd appreciate any additional information you can provide.

    Randy Schueller

It's been 8 days and I've received no further information. I assume that means they're not interested in sharing the results of their study but only time will tell.

  • Thank you Randy, we'll see if they ever reply
