Heat protection spray

I was wondering...
I know that heat protection spray protects the hair against heat styling tools. Would the hair also be protected if the heat protection spray was used when going out in the sun
( without being heat styled) . -
No, it's the wrong type of protection. Sadly, the only truly effective product for protecting your hair from the sun is a hat.
