EXPIRED PORDUCT
  • I have a lotion I like to use on my face that is a little pricey. I can find it on Ebay cheaper but many times it has gone past the expiration date by just a week or so. My question is -Is there any thing wrong with using the expired lotion?
  • Honestly, it depends on the type of product. If the product has been stored in relatively cool places, it can last much longer. Unless it is contaminated I don't find it a problem. What I look for not to use are products which appear to be seperating (lotions and creams). I would have no problem using a product twice the expiration date if the product had not been opened.
  • Awesome! That is really what I was hoping to hear. Thank you so much for your input!
  • i have a similar question.
I have a foundation that was manufactured in May 2007 and is to expire in May 2010.
It has only been opened less than a year and is oil-free. I hear u can keep oil-free foundation for a year or 18 months. So, if expiry date has passed, do i keep it because it was opened a lot later than its manufacture, or just toss it?
Do I check for the way it feels, stings or irritation, to judge? or just throw it?
  • neveen, take a look if the color is separated, or if the texture isn't smooth. If you are able to just shake these problems away, go ahead. If you can't get it back together, it's too far gone.
