The Acai Berry Hoax??
  • Everyone’s selling it, is anyone buying it, and does it even really help shed pounds?

Really want to know before I try it, don’t want to spend serious bucks for fruit juice, because fruit juice has tons of sugar and wouldn’t that be a trip, buy it and it does nothing but taste sweet, because so does fresh fruit which is probably healthier and for sure cheaper.

Does acai berry really work as a weight loss cleanse?

I once tried master cleanse, way too harsh, couldn’t stick with it want something I can live with just found a website for a product compared to acai http://www.nulean-acaiberrydiet.com never heard of this, anyone know anything about it? Thanks. :)
  • No, it doesn't really work as a weight loss product. It is very good for you, however, containing lots of antioxidants and such (like many other berries). Some places sell acai berries frozen (good for smoothies), but you can't get them fresh because they are very fragile and just turn into a gushy mess. All fruit juice has a lot of sugar in it, but as long as there isn't added sweetener and you drink it in moderation it is fine. Also, if you eat things that are vitamin and antioxidant rich (deep and brightly colored fruits and veggies -- more color the better -- like spinach and romaine over iceberg lettuce) and limit dairy, bad carbs, and sugar your body should naturally detox. Also drink lots of water! I say limit, because the second you forbid something it becomes that much more appetizing!
The best solution for weight loss is a change in eating habits and exercise. If you've done that and are still not losing weight, it wouldn't hurt to see a doc and have your hormones and thyroid tested.

    I hope that helps!
