Wild growth
  • Dear, Beautybrains
I am thinking about trying this product called wild growth oil i am not sure if i should try it is the ingerdients safe?? Do you think it will promote growth?? please reply
  • They have a HORRIBLE website!!!!!!!!! If their product is supposed to be 'so advanced' then they should be able to afford a web designer that isn't a 3rd grader, or an actual person to narrate, not an automated computer voice. That is the worst website I've ever seen. It just gives me a lot of doubts about the validity of this product. Now I know advertising isn't everything, but this is the online version of buying something out the back of some guy's car.
  • I don't know the company but it's likely that the ingredients are safe.
However, the product will not make your hair grow faster.  No cosmetic (especially an oil) is going to make your hair grow faster.
PS.  They really do have an awful website!

  • Hello,
I didn't really look at the site, but I'd like to recommend that you take Biotin 3,000-5,000 mcg a day (micrograms), MSM 1000 mg a day, and Silica (Horsetail herb) 1000 mg a day. I have been taking these for the last several months and my hair is incredibly strong, has grown a lot, and looks great. It's better to nourish your hair from the inside out. These vitamins are safe and natural. Good luck!
  • I am jumping in to back up starseeds recommendation  of the supplements. I have been taking MSM 3000mg for over a year. I started using it because its supposed to help with joint pain (thus the higher dose) and noticed my hair and nails were growing like crazy and I get very little fallout which was a bit of a problem once I hit menopause. Just had a two inch hair trim  3 weeks ago and my hair is nearly back to the length I went in with. I also had a couple of fairly deep, dry skin lesions for several years that nothing would clear up and they are gone except for some light scarring which is improving, although slowly. I have to say that although I think the MSM  works beautifully for skin and nails, you do have to be on it for a few months to really see the benefits and then you have to stay with it reliably. I did go off it for a few months because I wasn't sure the good things I noticed were coming from the MSM and I noticed a difference being off it. Now I'm sticking with it- its been that good. Lots of info available if you google. I've been looking at Biotin too and I am going to add that in as well. Anyone interested must shop around - the price varies incredibly.  I've found good values at Swansons Vitamin, iherb and Puritan Pride.
  • I'd like to recommend Vitacost and Lucky Vitamin, plus Puritan's Pride. All are very reliable and ship quickly. Great prices, too!
  • Anecdotal evidence aside, there is absolutely no proof that taking vitamins and health food supplements will have any positive effect on your hair growth.
  • Tis true, Left Brain. I actually never would have started MSM regimen based on anecdotal evidence alone,  just hoping to see improvement in my hair. Can only say that once I had been on it for awhile in hopes that it would ease my joint pain, I noticed a marked difference in my hair and nails growing and looking healthier. Can't even say for sure that this is due to the supplements- just know I didn't see it before I'd been on it and I did notice a backward change while I was off them for an extended time. Since I need to take it anyway, I welcome any other benefits that MIGHT be.
  • @crystalcricket - Of course, we can't say it isn't the supplements having an effect.  They could be having an effect on you.  It's just that there is no scientific evidence that would support the conclusion and there are other explanations that are backed up by science.  For example, the placebo effect is real & getting stronger every day.

  • What about Omega 3 is that good for hair growth?
  • @Danniigurl - there's nothing about Omega 3 that will specifically help hair growth.
