This is an ingredient used in a lot of cosmetic formulations ( example: Avon's Anew Clinical Infinite Lift Targeted Contouring Serum ... listed as the 14th ingredient ). According to Avon's Product Information it is " shell fish derived " .
In researching GLUCOSAMINE HCL, I found it is ( an amino sugar) extracted from the shell of crabs, lobster and shrimp and, also, as a non-animal, non-shellfish derived product. Since the Clinical Infinite Lift Serum contains the shell fish derived form and does not carry a warning on the label, does this mean that this product (topically applied and not ingested ), would not be a problem for those with shell fish allergies ??
