Silicon-Based Foundation

Dear Beauty Brains,

NYX total control drop foundation keeps me breakout free- in fact, I have more acne when I don't wear it! Ironically, "safe" titanium dioxide, zinc, and talc all irritate my skin, but silicone-based cosmetics are fine. People tell me silicone in skincare is dangerous, but I'm skeptical. I have combination skin, wear sunscreen, and moisturize 1 or 2 times a day.

What makes this so effective?
