TRESemme Expert Selection Heat Activated Treatment, 7 Day Keratin Smooth
Hi Randy and Perry,
Could you answer two questions about TRESemme Expert Selection Heat Activated Treatment, 7 Day Keratin Smooth 3 oz?
1. Does it contain a polyelectrolyte complex? It has polyquaternium 28 and PVM/MA copolymer, and TRESemme's other product line has it, so I think it does, but I wanted to check with you.
2. What's with the safety warning about eye contact? The bottle has several warnings about eye contact. It seems to have more eye warnings than most products. Is there something in it that is especially bad for eyes? Is it the Aspartic Acid? And whatever it is, is it also damaging to hair? I'm wondering if this product breaks down the protein bonds in hair similar to how a perm solution does, and if that's how it makes hair stay straight, or if it is all due to the polyelectrolyte complex.
I love your blog and podcast! I left you a nice review on ITunes, under the name V.V. Any insight you could give would be appreciated!
Below is the product info from Amazon. I liked that they listed all the ingredients on the Amazon page.
