When I received the Crystalift Skin Resurfacing Kit with a month’s supply of uses, my first thoughts upon opening the box were how compact the machine is. It makes for quick and easy storage. Additionally, the user manual was easy to read, and helped me feel confident and comfortable about using the system.
Skin resurfacing technology
According to Crystalift, “the Crystalift System is the first and only at-home skin resurfacing machine using the same crystal and vacuum technology, just like professional treatments. With Crystalift, bring home your own personal resurfacing machine whose dual-action process combines both crystal resurfacing and vacuum-lift therapy to help stimulate surface cell renewal, allowing smoother, fresher skin to emerge – in one simple to use system. It’s easy, convenient and takes less than 10 minutes to give you softer, smoother, younger-looking skin for a fraction of the cost.”
Safe for skin
There are multiple settings on the machine to adjust the intensity to one’s skin that makes the product seemingly suitable for all skin types. There is also a safety feature that stops the vacuum system if you are applying the wand incorrectly or have pulled it away for your face. I was initially hesitant to do my own microdermabrasion, but between the easy-to-read manual and this safety feature, I felt at ease.
No nose
The process itself feels like sharp tingles on the skin. It was a little discomforting at first, but after the initial feeling I hardly noticed. Unfortunately, I found the wand could not easily be used over the nose, the safety feature kept kicking it because it was difficult to keep the wand completely flush to the skin. Aside from that, the process was extremely quick, easy, and efficient.
Amazingly smooth skin
Immediately after the process my entire face felt impossibly smooth. This system is remarkably proficient. After the first treatment, my skin was slightly reddened for the next day and looked similar to mild sunburn. When the redness faded, my skin was glowing! For the rest of the week, I was able to go without foundation. This system is amazing!
Costly crystals
The only downside with the Crystalift system is the price. The retail price of the system is $249, but the website has is offered for $199. That said, considering the cost of professional treatment, I think the system is well-priced. The initial system comes with the machine and a month’s supply of uses. However, the cost of continuing with the system is only $39.95 a month if you sign up for the monthly club. That’s about $10 a week, which, when considered, is well worth it! I gave up two lattes a week, and signed myself up.
My pores are less noticeable, my skin is supple, the skin tone is stunning, and I am a very happy customer. I would recommend this system to anyone who can afford to purchase it.

I do want to try this, but yea, the price alone is a bit intimidating.
That and I have a habit of playing with shiny new toys only a few times before it sits somewhere collecting dust.
I’ve been using Dermapower (which also has suction) for over a year now, and have loved the results. It’s less costly than Crystalift, but I’ve had trouble in the past contacting them for refills. (Their website’s security certificate’s expired; and it was a little difficult getting through to them by phone.) Other than that, I really like their product.
this sounds amazing and if it works- i think it would pay for itself the fist couple of times you use it. i guess it’s not recommended for skin with rosacea though, huh? :/
not only that it sounds good it works even better. my wife could testify to that.
There’s useful medical information about microdermabrasion that people might want to read here.
I love the machine have had great difficulty in finding refills for the machine…would like to find a reliable resource to find the refillls..I use as an in between session with the dermatologist microdermabrasions…my skin feels great after a session
I’m sure you can purchase the Aluminum Oxide Crystals elsewhere. I saw on a skin spa supply website that you could get 3.5lbs for 20.00. Way better than the 40.00 a month.
Where do the professionals go? Time to go sniffing and hunting.
I’m going to investigate the capsules I have at home after my 2nd treatment.
Has anyone figured if you can put other crystals in the capsules?
You could go to smart n’ final or walmart to get a condiment squeeze bottle – something like this…
http://www.hubert.com/store/products.asp?CAWELAID=126241996&A=389%2E2286%2E30350&Dn=0&An=966+966&Au=Presentation+Id&Ntt=30350&N=966+966&src=chanadv&Ntx=mode+matchall&D=30350&Ntk=SKU
Then just google microdermabrasion spa supply. It should lead you to the aluminum oxide crystals sometimes used or an alternative.
Your only problem is the dispenser unit. Doesn’t look like there’s a way to empty it. That and they only sell the disposable bin with refills.
Let me know if you come up with anything else.
I have this machine.. I LOVE it. It works so well, I’m amazed. It was well worth the price. Someone asked if you can refill the little cystal holders. that would be no.. I bought the crystals and filled the holder, put it in the machine and nothing came out. I’m not sure if the crsytals I bought weren’t the correct size??? Also, you can empty the dispenser. Just tip it upside down and start shaking it. I’ve emptied mine several times..
Does anyone know how to fixthe crystal flow problem. Nothing I’ve tried in the manuel works.
I have the same question as Debbie: Does anyone know how to fix the crystal flow problem.
Nothing in the manuel works.
This machine costs a lot of money for it to malfunction after several uses and after the warranty expired. I also have refills that I cannot use unless I can get the crystal flow problem fixed.
Thanks for your responses
BE CAREFUL!!! You can cause severe tissue damage if you over use, broken capillaries, hyperpigmentation, and breakage of elastisity, you can create more scar tissue if used improperly… Don’t over do it…
The debris compartment could cause staph infection, so be very carefull about re-using the crystal compartment… Be safe not sorry… 40.00 a month is reasonable. especially, avoiding problems in the future.
I am a skin expert, from the office of a very famous plastic surgeon.
I have well over 17 years of experince. Good luck to you, and keep ur eyes peeled for beauty Sprinkles a new skin care line, would work great for post treatment to repair the stratum corneum which is vital to protecting your skin.
My niece bought the Crystalift recently and loves it. She used it a few times, then it seemed to have a problem of some sort and it didn’t work. Her fiance’ called customer service, and they walked him through step by step on how to fix the problem. They are excellent service!!!! The machine is fixed. They also said that if anything happened again, they can return for exchange, only pay the shipping. EXCELLENT SERVICE!! Happy niece! So, I just bought one and it was delivered yesterday. Can’t wait to try it. My niece is 23, I’m 55. We’ll see!!!!
MORO NO BRASIL,GOSTARIA DE ADQUIRIR ESSE PRODUTO MAS NÃO SEI COMO FAZÊ-LO.POSSUO CARTÃO DE CREDITO INTERNACIONAL.POR FAVOR ESTAREI AGUARDANDO ANCIOSA A SUA RESPOSTA. GRATA SIMONE
Mine doesn’t spray out the crystals anymore.
you can buy the unit and the refill at makemeheal.com – that’s why i got mine – very happy so far (3 applications): http://bit.ly/9qf4Jo
I just rec’d mine and the crystals wont come out at all. Hope this isn’t a bad signthat I just spent $200.00 on a small vacuum Can anyone guide me through this? I called the company and they are closed
on Thursdays!
One of the little white plastic “gasket/washers” has broken down. Does anyone know where I can get just the plastic thing? CrystalLift told me to send the entire unit back – and that’s pretty ridiculous since I know exactly what is wrong.
