As an Australian, welcome to Australia Perry! You guys are well known among my skincare friends in Aus.

This was really sad to hear, but I totally get it. Some of the willful ignorance, insufferable bickering, and comments by some people made me question how much longer you both were going to bother. Thanks for all of the hard work and I wish you both the best in your future endeavors. I’ve learned a great deal. FWIW, a paid podcast might weed out some of the riffraff. I’d subscribe.

Sad to see you guys go. I always really looked forward to new episodes! Should you do a paid podcast, or Patreon etc. in the future I’ll be there.

I will miss you!! Thank you for all you’ve done with the Beauty Brains!! I’ve learned so much from you over the years, about science and beauty. You led me to other science and critical thinking blogs, and I am really not kidding when I say that you have made me much more scientifically literate. I was no dummy before, but I am truly smarter and more beautiful because of you guys. I hope you will keep your blog available as a reference. There is tons of great information on your blog. I’ve been a fan for years and I’ve commented on your blog under various different names. I am even thinking of starting my own blog now, with specific information and links to specific products. I understand why you are stopping now after all your years of service, when spreading information without selling anything is a lot of work for little pay. No doubt you have already discovered sensible ways to make a living, but I do have one suggestion for how to spread good information and make money: you could start a brand that’s brand story is all about minimal ingredients and explaining how the ingredients work. It could be packaged in black-and-white, and have a little science lesson on every package. But I am naïve and you know better than me that it probably wouldn’t make any money in the end. But it might!
    I love Perry’s songs too.
    Non Voyage!!

Will miss you! Thanks for the memories! Hope it really will be a “hiatus.”

Oh no … I’m going to miss you guys terribly. I hope you’re off to bigger and better things! Maybe another book …? I’ll buy it! Oh dear, where am I going to get my beauty facts fix now?! I haven’t listened yet, I’m still a ways back on episodes (I’ve followed this blog for a long time, but only started the podcasts last year as I was very late on the podcast bandwagon LOL) but I’m sad to hear this is the last! 🙁 You guys have been so great. Thanks for all the fantastic information you’ve provided. I’ve learned so much! I kept meaning to post an iTunes review, but I just don’t ever use iTunes.

Beauty Brains you will be missed! I always looked forward to your podcasts. That was a beautiful parting song though! I echo the sentiment of the previous comment, I’d be willing to support a paid podcast if there was a subscription fee. Take care guys!

I’m very sad to hear this. Like Miki, I was late finding out about you guys. I think I came across your website in early 2016. I couldn’t tell you how I came across it, but I’m glad I did nonetheless. I read quite a few of the things you guys wrote on your site, but I just recently started listening to the podcasts. I plan on listening to them all. I have also bought your book, “It’s Okay to have Lead in Your Lipstick” and have found it to be extremely informative. I am only 25 years old, but I have been very conscious about skin and hair care for quite a while. Though, I would (and still do at times) get very frustrated whenever I’m trying to make a decision involving beauty, but find so many conflicting information about what’s good and what’s bad without even being able to tell if the information was legitimate. Then, I found you guys! 🙂 I might not always like what y’all have to say, but I trust that you know what you’re talking about and are just trying to help consumers make the best decisions. I have never considered either of you misogynistic or condescending. The truth just hurts sometimes! The advice y’all give has even helped me save some money. I don’t fall for some of the beauty hype and myths that come up as frequently. I can’t say I NEVER fall for it; just not near as much as I did before finding your website. Haha! Sorry for the long post! I just really wanted to say how much the Beauty Brains has impacted me. As sad as I am, I wish you both the best and hope you succeed in your future aspirations. 🙂

Will miss you guys, thanks for all the great podcasts and the forum!

I can only imagine what you guys have to put up with! Big Beauty paying off all those bloggers (not Randy) , and here you sit, TruthTellers doing for the cause of truth!
Have been a listener from the very beginning, through the brains reveal, and I had those lost episodes (but lost them too through a PC to Mac conversion!)
I have NEVER bought into the hype from beauty brands, have always been practical and skeptical, and with the internet explosion of false/paid for content, you have been a breath of fresh air!
I will miss the silly games (stupid Chance always wins!) and chit chat…. and mainly the great research and information you presented in such an entertaining and understandable way. It was truly appreciated, and you even answered my peptide question in Ep. 55 (thanks for that too, such a great example of your thoroughness!) …. so thanks ‘Brains’, it was great while it lasted, and will check in and listen if you ever decide to return. Wishing you two much success and the best for your future endeavors! Thank you again!
