Since the supply of skin from recently deceased donors isn’t enough to fill the surgical demand, the Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation, the nations largest tissue bank, is now working with almost 70 surgeons around the country on a new living skin donation program.

Malaria is a huge problem around the world so a more powerful bug repellant could save lives. Researchers have created a new compound called  VUAA-1 that’s more effective than the current state of the art ingredient, DEET.
