Hi Randy,
I know you and Perry have done a podcast on Vitamin C. But I still get confused every time I search for the most effective and cost appropriate one to buy.
I found a product from a company called ArganNatural. It’s called ArganNatural Face Vitamin C Serum.
Ingredients:
Water, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Hyaluronic Acid, Rose (Rosa Canina) Extract, Pomegranate (Punica Granatum) Extract, Vitamin C Ascorbate, Vitamin C Glucoside, Vitamin C (Ascorbate Acid), ArganNatural Oil (Argania Spinosa Kernal), Lemon Oil (Citrus Limonum), Polysorbate 80, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Potassium Sorbate, Hexylene Glycol. This is a pretty inexpensive product, but is it effective? Thank you so much for your time. Every time I see a one ounce Vitamin C product going for $120.00 I can’t help but think there’s something better.

I’m sorry but there’s just no way to tell for sure if a product such as this is effective just from looking at the ingredient list. However, I’m skeptical of this one for a couple of reasons:1. We know that truly effective Vitamin C products have high concentrations of Ascorbic Acid or its derivatives. The AA’s in product appear to be below 1% each based on their placement on the ingredient list (below extracts.)2. I don’t see any of the stabilizing agents (like ferrulic acid, sodium metabisulfite, etc) that are used to protect AAs.3. It’s from a company that I’ve never heard of as opposed to a large, well established company. That means they’re probably using contract manufacturer formulas rather than doing their own R&D.With these 3 factors considered I’m making the assumption that this is not going to be that great of a product in terms of providing anti-aging benefits from the Vitamin C.September 5, 2016 at 1:46 am #96058LuvsmakeupMemberThank you so much, Randy. Really appreciate your expert opinion. It’s a jungle out there!
