Hi I was just wondering about this product called NIOD Neck Elasticity Catalyst. Nigella Lawson tweeted about it and said it was an anti-scraggly neck product that works. I just wonder if I should try it. These are the ingredients.
Aqua (Water), Caprylyl Methicone, Glycerin, PEG-12 Dimethicone/PPG-20 Crosspolymer, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Butylene Glycol, Hyaluronic Acid, Ethoxydiglycol, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6, Plantago Lanceolata Leaf Extract, Leontopodium Alpinum Callus Culture Extract, L-Carnitine, Caffeine, Acetyl Dipeptide-1 Cetyl Ester, Trifluoroacetyl Tripeptide-2, Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-12, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-2, Acetylarginyltryptophyl Diphenylglycine, Acetyl Cyclohexapeptide-34, Urea, Adansonia Digitata Fruit Extract, Coccoloba Uvifera Fruit Extract, Lactic Acid/Glycolic Acid Copolymer, Glyceryl Caprylate, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Hippophae Rhamnoides Oil, Maltodextrin, Dextran, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Xanthan gum, Sorbitan Laurate, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Propylene Carbonate, Tocopherol, Phenylpropanol, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol.The product does contain some peptides that are fairly well established to have some anti-aging properties. But I’m not aware of any topically applied cream or lotion that will truly tighten neck skin (assuming that’s what you mean by “anti-scraggly.”
And when I say “truly tighten” I’m talking about products that have a lasting effect after being rinsed off. A lot of products will temporarily tighten skin by forming a film as they dry but that’s just a superficial effect.We approve of any product that makes your skin feel the way you like and that is reasonably priced. Unfortunately, a lot of anti-aging neck creams are over priced and over promised.
