Hi!
I recently was recommended 2 moisturizer products by the very reputable company Biologique Recherche. They both come in jars which make me weary about purchasing them. December 6, 2016 at 1:54 pm #96778TanyaMemberOh, thank you for the ingredients! I’ve heard a lot about Biologique Recherche, didn’t yet work with it but what I see…
TRIETHANOLAMINE + IMIDAZOLIDINYL UREA…
As I know they could (or they could not) form nitrosamines together, which are carcinogens. And they are both in one product, TEA is controversial ingredient for me and there it is at the begining of the list.METHYLCHLOROISOTHYAZOLINONE and METHYLISOTHIAZOLINONE are irritants and from this year 2016 they are prohibited in leave-on products…
December 6, 2016 at 7:29 pm #96786PeterMemberThe first one is a classic example where it goes wrong with Triethanolamine, it is combined with Kathon CG and Imidazolidinyl Urea. Kathon CG (methylchlorisothizolinone and methylisothiazolinone) are indeed not allowed anymore, at least in Europe.
Propylene Glycol in concentrations higher than 1-2% can be quite irritating to skin.Lanolin oil can be allergenic to some people. The products have a very long list of ingredients, this increases the chance of negative skin reactions. Especially with all the plant extracts. This all sounds very negative But the products simply aren’t the best ones out there. -
