Hello,
My stylist recently offered me to try a new shampoo Brazilian Blowout Acai Anti-Frizz. It is sulfate free, but it also contains quite a lot of amino acids such as Serine, Valine, Proline, Threonine. My question is do these amino acids add anything to this shampoo? Do they make it better than others e.g. better conditioning or better for hair in general? Here is full ingredient listWater, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Cocamidopropylamine Oxide, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycol Distearate, Steareth 4, PEG 18, Glyceryl Oleate (Cocoate), Arginine (L Arginine Hydrochloride), Glycine, Alanine, Serine, Valine, Proline, Threonine, Isoleucine, Mistidine, Phenylalanine, Sodium PCA, Sodium Lactate, Aspartic Acid, PCA, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter (Cocoa), Euterpe Oleracea (Acai Fruit) Extract, Myrciaria Dubia Fruit Extract, Bixa Orellana (Annatto) Seed Extract, Polyquaternium 10, Quaternium 80, Tetrasodium EDTA, Methylisothiazolinone, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Fragranceand for ConditionerWater, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Chloride, Dimethicone, Amodimethicone, Cetyl Alcohol, Arginine (L Arginine Hydrochloride), Glycine, Alanine, Serine, Valine, Proline, Threonine, Isoleucine, Mistidine, Phenylalanine, Sodium PCA, Sodium Lactate, Aspartic Acid, PCA, Polyquaternium 7, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetrimonium Bromide, Cetrimonium Chloride, Hydroxypropyl Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Trideceth 12, Citric Acid, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter (Cocoa), Euterpe Oleracea (Acai Fruit) Extract, Myrciaria Dubia Fruit Extract, Bixa Orellana (Annatto) Seed Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexl Glycerin, Hexylene Glycol, Polyaminopropyl Biguanide, Fragrance, D Limonene, Benzyl Benzoatethank you!January 25, 2016 at 2:04 pm #95549RandySMemberThese appear to be good products given the mildness of the surfactants in the shampoo and the quality of the conditioning agents in the conditioner. (Of course you can get similar products that will probably cost less.)
The amino acids won’t provide any special benefit.January 26, 2016 at 9:59 am #95552katebesMemberThank you for reply, Randy.
What are these quality conditioning agents in this conditioner?January 26, 2016 at 1:06 pm #95555RandySMemberPrimarily: Behentrimonium Chloride, Dimethicone, Amodimethicone.
