I keep reading on various websites about the “miraculous” Trilogy rosehip oil, an oil rich in fatty acids like omega 3 and 6, that should lighten minor sun induced hyperpigmentation and acne scars. Is it the truth? I’m rather skeptical about all those claims: I’ve always thought that glycolic/lactic acids were the only treatments that can make a major difference, not a simple oil.
And, is it right to pay 30$ for such a tiny bottle? Thanks for this beautiful site,Turchese.January 15, 2015 at 8:16 am #94356RandySMemberThanks Torches. I’ll looked at their website and I don’t see any reference to lightening hyper pigmentation. And, none of their clinical studies reference lightening skin. I suspect that what you’ve seen on other websites is just other people’s interpretation of what the company says their product does, not what they actually claim.
Anyway, if you want to learn what’s proven to work for skin lightening, check out this: What’s the best skin lightening ingredient? The Beauty Brains Show episode 35January 15, 2015 at 11:27 am #94357turcheseMemberThank you so much!
Yeah, you’re right. On their website they don’t talk about lightening hyperpigmentation, but on every single review I’ve read, there’s somebody who talks about “the even skin tone after just a couple of months”.However, what I’m really curious about is the effect of rosehip oil or skin. What makes the rosehip oil better and more expensive in comparison to other oils (ex. olive oil, coconut, ecc…)?Have a nice dayJanuary 16, 2015 at 8:00 am #94358RandySMemberTurchese: I’ve been reading up on rose hip oil and it looks there is not a quick answer. I’m going to do some more research and, depending on what I find, I may use this as a question for a future podcast.
