I was wanting to add a dandruff control additive (Zinc Pyrithione) to my shampoo formula. What happens if the formula also has a chelating agent? Will they react or neutralize each other??
Since the Beauty Brains is targeted toward consumer questions, we typically refer questions about formulating to our sister site, http://www.chemistscorner.com. (That site has more of a formulator presence so you’ll probably get better advice.) Personally I don’t think it’s an issue but you may get more detailed information there.
