    I’ve read that the cool setting seals the cuticle.  For me, after drying on warm, cooling my hair seems to keep it in place better, especially bangs.

    Neither cold water nor cool air will seal the cuticle. Cuticle lifting is caused by a combination of physical damage and loss of the “glue” that holds the cuticle down. That can’t be reversed by lower temperature.

    Thanks Randy. So the way my hair holds will not make a difference in terms of using hot air, or cold air?
