I recently bought a tub of glycolic acid pads made by a reputable drugstore brand. I plan to use them once a week in addition to my daily exfoliation with a washcloth.I’m not sure what percentage of glycolic acid is present in the formula. I’m a little weary of the alcohol content, but I suppose it’s used to enhance penetration of the ingredients and to bind other ingredients together…? The last few ingredients like limonene/linalool seem like they could be irritating, but they are pretty low on the list. Well made AHA products seem hard to come by, especially if you don’t want to spend a lot of cash.Aqua/Water, Alcohol Denat., Hydroxyethylpiperazine Ethane Sulfonic Acid, Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, Glycolic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Citric Acid, Ascorbyl Glucoside, PPG-26-Buteth-26, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Parfum/Fragrance, Limonene, Phenoxyethanol, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, Benzyl SalicylateI think it’s better to look at an alternative Glycolic acid product, this one contains Alcohol, Hydroxyetylpiperazine Ethane Sulfonic Acid, Propylene Glycol, Parfum, Limonene, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool and Benzyl Salicylate, all these ingredients can be sensitizing to skin.Perhaps something from Paula’s Choice.You could consider Derm E glycolic acid products. they are cheaper than Paula’s Choice.I don’t think expensive = better but i don’t believe in products that can cause more harm than good.
