Many of you on here have probably heard about The Ordinary skincare line by now. I’ve heard nothing but positive feedback on their products, but what I would like to know is how much research has been done on Granactive Retinoids. Grant industries developed this new retinoid derivative and so far they are the only industry that has clinically tested it, that I know of. Is there any other research on this ingredient?
Seems to me that the advantage of this version is that it’s less irritating than some of the other retinoids. According to the supplier’s data it performs well compared to retinoid derivatives but there’s no mention of how it works against retinol itself. Remember that all these derivatives have to be converted to retinol on the skin in order to be effective.
I guess the bottom line is that you might try this if you’ve found other versions to be too irritating. But don’t get your expectations too high and don’t spend a fortune for it.
