    Is there actual science behind hair thickening shampoos?

    My mom has thinning hair and I wonder if thickening shampoos really work? 
    Or perhaps one should just go ahead with volumising mousse rather than something that is rinsed off.

    Hair thickening products only temporarily give hair volume they don’t make you grow more hair or increase hair diameter. (Unless it’s a drug product like Minoxidil.)
