Makeup remover is commonly used today and I was wondering what specifically makeup remover does in order to break down the makeup. The most common main ingredients are

cyclopentasiloxane and cyclohexasiloxane. How do these ingredients contribute to breaking down the makeup? I understand there is usage of surfactants and like dissolves like (however many makeup removers are oil free) and was wondering if you could expand further on how it works.

Not removing makeup before going to bed could give you premature aging signs.

We can remove makeup simply with rose water dipped cotton , then with cleansing milk.
