I’ve just heard about hygral fatigue, so I wonder how we can get rid of it.
Is it ok to reduce protein loss with coconut oil or is it better to mix hydrolized protein to my leave in hair product?
Hygral fatigue is the stress caused to your hair by the swelling and shrinking that occurs from wetting and drying your hair. The only way to get rid of it is to not get your hair wet.
You can, of course, fight the effects of this stress. Conditioning will help to some extent. Coconut oil sort of water proofs the hair from the inside out so it can also help. I’m not convinced that hydrolyzed protein provides much benefit but it certainly won’t hurt.
