My goodness, I need to read this when more info is available. I have large pores, alas, and I do the best I can but blackheads are a plague on my nose and chin.
I use sal acid (clean and clear) and micro benzoyle peroxide to keep it down. I thought maybe blackheads appeared in pores with hairs and I literally considered consulting an electrologist to see if that were the case. But I don’t se hairs out of the pores on my nose?Also Retin A (generic, the max .1 %). Blackheads and large pores are the bane of my skin’s existence (and I have nice skin otherwise).There is some strange satisfaction to be found in pulling off a pore strip and seeing all those little stalagmites of skin gunk.
Ha, Pilgrim and Randy! I have used those pore strips for special occasions but the effects don’t last very long! I agree that it’s satisfying!!! I just wish for a way the blackheads could be prevented!!!
hi rungrace01, do you have teenager oily skin? if you do, do you live in a tropical climate? that would be a double whammy! but the oily would keep your skin young.
the first time i used the pore strip, i thought i would never have to use it again in my life! everything came out of the pores! my fun of using them was limited to once a year, usually after the summer.
then i got married. now i can have fun using them on husband. who has oilier skin and really had an accumulation that increased the circumference of the pores. that was really a sight!
but the pores on his nose look better. and yes, i can use it on him more frequently. he also used all the things you and others have used. but the pore strips had the most impact.
