    I keep seeing a lot of advertising saying that one shouldn’t clean a beard with regular shampoo (but, one can shampoo the hair with beard shampoo). Is there really a difference?

    It’s just a gimmick. It’s the same thing with beard oils – you can use the same oils you use on your hair for your beard.
