It looks like from what I found, you can boost collagen by drinking collagen type 1 and 3 powder with water, does its actually true?

As for elastin, I found that there’s actually no way to boost it and it not produced by your body with age anymore, is that true? So my question – if you can get drincable collagen, what prevent ppl to create the same powder, but with elastin? Is there some crucial scientifical problems with that, no way to extract elastin from fish, or our stomacs can not take it?

I’m approaching 30, so recently I got interested in whole theme of skin aging preventing, and notion that you have no way to get elastin got my interest, can smbd explain that please? Cheers.

Ingested collagen MAY boost skin collagen but the data is mixed. You can read more about that in this post: http://thebeautybrains.com/2015/03/is-collagen-a-good-anti-aging-ingredient/

I suspect that the mechanism of elastin production is different which is why ingesting it doesn’t help. If we find out anything else about this we’ll share it here. Good question!

Ok, thanks. As for injested collagen – its strange to read data as smth may boost. Im not in biology or microchemistry by any means but isn’t there should be some theoretical studies about that and simulation calculations, or it mainly works by just trying it out and lookfor result?)
