In my younger years, I never thought I would ask this question.  Of course, you want your powder to dry up all that excess oil on your face, right?  But with my rosacea, rosacea meds, and age drying out my skin more, I fear I may have become sensitive to face powders.  I can always just use a powder on my t-zone, but I was curious–you hear people claiming certain powders are “non-drying.”  Is this possible?

The drying properties of any given powder depend on the absorbency characteristics of the powders used as well as their concentration. Some powders (like cornstarch) are more likely to absorb water others (like kaolin) will absorb oil.
