    Does apply a liquid makeup foundation over top an spf product dilute the spf? (either chemical or mineral)

    No, as long as you wait a while after applying the sunscreen. That’s because sunscreens (especially the chemical type) take a while to form a contiguous film.

    How long to wait? There’s some evidence that says about 30 minutes is optimum. Of course depending on the products you’re using, your mileage may vary.

    A sunscream need to get observed by the skin before applying anything over the cream. So yes a minimum gap of around half hour is required before applying foundation over it.
