So I just started using the new Redken Sky High volume line, I like it but it’s pricey. My sister recommended the Pantene Volume line…. When I look at the labels, they have different names to the ingredients, but when I look them up, they seem similar in function… What is your take on the comparison of ingredients??

The Redken products contain Aminopropyl Triethoxysilane which MAY provide some additional thickening of hair fibers. The Pantene product doesn’t contain this kind of technology.
The good news is that L’Oreal (who owns Redken) sells other, cheaper products that use this same technology. You can find more information here:
