Octisalate in sunscreens

    Why do most moisturizers with sunscreen contain this ingredient? I seem to have a reaction to it and it’s hard to find good broad spectrum products without it.

    Octisalate, also known as Octyl salicylate, is one of the approved active ingredients used in sunscreens. It absorbs UV radiation to protect you from the sun.
