Good news and bad news.  Don’t want to speak to soon, but it seems that I MAY have found a physical block tinted sunscreen that my skin doesn’t hate.  It’s skinceuticals physical fusion.

I normally use a Paula’s Choice cleanser that contains mineral oil and soybean oil, and that normally takes off everything I put on my skin.  But this physical sunblock is a little more stubborn.  Most of it comes off, but there is a tiny bit of residue.  If I decide I have to get it all off, what oils could I use to remove it?  I tried olive oil before and hated the greasy feel of it.  Not sure if there is anything a little less greasy feeling.

That’s a tough one. Mineral oil typically has the best solvency so if that one doesn’t work you may have to try a detergent based approached.

Why don’t you try a specific cleanser to remove sunscreens? Example:

You can certainly give this a try but it mostly consists of mineral oil. Here are the ingredients:

Mineral Oil, Cetyl Octanoate, PEG-10 Isostearate, Cyclomethicone, PEG-12 Diisostearate, Water, PEG-8 Diisostearate, Phenyl Trimethicone, Isostearic Acid, Alcohol Denat., Tocopherol, Fragrance

Thanks guys!  Actually, though, I’m having better luck with my Paula’s choice creamy cleanser (which contains mineral oil) than I had at first.  I just find I need to use a bit more of it, but it comes off with it fine.

So frustrated though–not sure my face is tolerating the tinted sunscreen.  To recap, I’m the person who can’t wear makeup because of my rosacea.  And thus far, haven’t even been able to tolerate tinted sunscreens.  “Can’t” may be too strong.  I can wear these kinds of products once, but it’s when I start using them daily that my skin freaks out.  It just prefers to be nude.  But I’ve changed a number of products recently, so I’m not sure that the tinted sunscreen is the culprit.  Time will tell.
