Hi everyone,
I recently came across the Olivella line and was interested in knowing if it is safe to use on keratin treated hair. It has a pretty decent ingredient list but the cocamidopropyl’s are the ones that have me a bit iffy as they seem to be harsh sulfates according to what I read. Can someone shed some light please?Ingredients:
AQUA (WATER)
COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE,
COCAMIDOPROPYL HYDROXYSULTAINE,
PARFUM (FRAGRANCE),
OLEA EUROPAEA (OLIVE) FRUIT OIL,
XANTHAN GUM,
OLEA EUROPAEA (OLIVE) LEAF EXTRACT,
COCODIMONIUM HYDROXYPROPYL HYDROLYZED SILK,
COCODIMONIUM HYDROXYPROPYL HYDROLYZED WHEAT PROTEIN,
PANTHENOL,
GLYCERIN,
COCAMIDOPROPYLAMINE OXIDE,
PROPYLENE GLYCOL,
PHENOXYETHANOL,
ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, BENZOPHENONE-4.August 13, 2016 at 12:39 pm #95955RandySMemberThere are no sulfate cleaners is this product so if that’s what has you worried you should be fine. The COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE and COCAMIDOPROPYL HYDROXYSULTAINE are milder than sulfates.
I don’t see any reason that you couldn’t use this on hair that has been treated with a keratin product.August 14, 2016 at 12:16 am #95958abc1two3MemberAndy, you are awesome!!! Thanks for clarifying this for me. This is great to know as the price is great in comparison with shampoo’s marketed for keratin treated hair.
