Forgive me if I asked this one already–I’ve been thinking about it and now can’t remember if I already asked it or if I just thought of asking it!  If niacinamide is good for inflammation/melasma topically, is it also good taken by mouth?  I just started taking a B-complex to see if it will help my skin.

I wish I knew the answer to that one, Sarah. I do have a comment though. While researching what might help my skin recover from the effects of using efudex for 21 days I came across astaxanthin. I have been taking it for about 3 months and it does seem to help skin heal more quickly. The nice added bonus is a boost in protection, from the inside out, from the rays of the sun. If I recall correctly, I saw mention of some people had improvement with rosacea while taking it as well. Might be worth looking into?
