Hey Beauty Brains! Here is a question. If I am using a product for dry to normal skin but it has good for your skin ingredients like niacinamide and ceramides ,its Cerave pm , but I have oily skin type, is it not a good idea to use a product for normal to dry skin if you have oily skin type? I’m just concerned as I don’t want my skin to be come clogged or more oily. Thanks a lot!

Yes, the Cerave product has interesting anti-oxidants, but if the emollient base is too heavy for your skin type, you’re more likely to break out. However, serums are basically just light-weight moisturizers, frequently peppered with interesting actives like Niacinamide (for example the serums from Olay). The thinner textures are definitely better suited to oily skin than those of traditional creams and moisturizers and you still get a dose of potentially beneficial antioxidants.

Randy and whoever else would like to answer what is your opinion on this product for more oily type skin? It is a Clinique product. It is supposed to correct your skin tone. From ingredients do you feel it can do this or is it more hype? It does have good reviews over all. Thanks
