I have only come across this Nivea in-shower rinse off moisturizer, but do you know of others? I like the idea of a rinse off moisturizer for my face because my face does benefit from one, however because they are typically so occlusive they make me sweat.

Below are the ingredients to the Nivea product:

Water, Petrolatum, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Hydrogenated Coco-Glycerides, Stearyl Alcohol, Myristyl Alcohol, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Carbomer, Sodium Hydroxide, Phenoxyethanol.

It looks to me this is really just depositing ptreolatum on your skin, which doesn’t rinse away fully. My guess is the glycerin just keeps the product itself moist. Would using a hair conditioner on your face be a bad idea for moisture when rinsing?

Your’e right about the petrolatum doing the work in the Nivia product. Hair conditioners aren’t designed to moisturize skin after rinsing so I don’t see much benefit to using them on your face.
