One hair serum that I have contains the following ingredients:
Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, C12 15 Alkyl Benzoate, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Mauritia Flexuosa Fruit Oil, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Hydrogenated Castor Oil/Sebacic Acid Copolymer, Benzyl Salicylate, Citronellol, Geraniol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Linalool, Fragrance.
What exactly does hydrogenated castor oil/sebacic acid copolymer do?
Also, what is the difference between dimethicone and dimethiconol?
Is it better to use a serum on damp or dry hair?

Hydrogenated Castor Oil/Sebacic Acid Copolymer supposedly sticks to lifted cuticles and cements them down. Theoretically this can help with split ends.

Dimethiconol is a more water soluble version of dimethicone which means it gives less buildup but it’s not as effective.

Damp or or dry is a matter of personal preference.
