Hi,
Do you know from what concentration Sodium Laureth Sulfate can become a problem in a leave on product?
I have 2 sunscreens with the following ingredients:
Aqua, Dibutyl Adipate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Distarch Phosphate, Glyceryl Stearate, Glycerin, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Ceteareth-20, Saccharide Isomerate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ceteareth-12, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Palmitate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Xanthan Gum, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Aminomethyl Propanol, Sodium Hydroxide, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Phenoxyethanol, Benzoic Acid, Dehydroacetic Acid

There’s no way for me to know if there’s enough SLES in this product to become a problem or not.
First of all, remember it’s SLES which is less irritating than SLS. Second, it appears to be fairly far down the ingredient list in both cases. Third, exactly what is it you’re worried about? Have you had problems with SLES containing leave in products before? If not, then you’re probably fine. If you have then you should probably avoid both of these.Sorry but it’s hard for me to give much more advice that thanThe company said they are using 0.1% SLES.. Because leaving residues of cleanser on your skin may give problems, and SLES is not the mildest surfactant, I wondered if there were studies saying what concentrations may give irritation or other skin problems.
I have the same sunscreen (without SLES end distarch phosphate) for the body, but I find it too greasy for the face, so that’s why I want to try these, if they’re save.
