Thanks to the “Brains” I have a much better understanding of what I buy and use, some organic and some not (I’ve gotten really dubious about the organic label, thanks guys) but this one thing really bothers me; if no one has tested the organic products why not?
Why does no one actually look?

I’m not sure I understand the question. Are you asking, for example, if anyone has tested “regular” shampoo X against “organic” shampoo Y to see if one is better than the other?

I agree with Pamg. Scientists say that there are no scientific research about the benefits of  yogurt or yogurt enzymes in lotions for the skin, or egg for the hair, or even silicone vs. plant-based oils in cosmetic products. Sometimes it gets confusing. I actually tried a yogurt face mask and it left my skin soft and fresh but scientists discourage the use of it over chemical X because chemical X has been proven to provide benefits when tested in the lab while yogurt is not proven to provide benefits because yogurt has not been researched. I find that all home remedies have no scientific research behind them to back them up but some do work. Why don’t scientist test how yogurt affects the  skin or what exactly does egg do when you put it on your hair?
P.S: I love your website. I has taught me a lot about the science behind everyday cosmetics  :)
