This is a site dedicated to bringing down the lack of safety or knowledge of safety in skin care.

Lead (just like in your lipstick…) And Other Heavy Metals Heavy metals like lead, arsenic, mercury, aluminum, zinc, chromium and iron are found in a wide variety of personal care products. Over time you ingest these and it causes organ issues to your liver!

Hydroquinone Usually associated with use in skin lighteners, especially those products marketed to women of color, this is a carcinogen and is ban in like a ton of countries!

Butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) and butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) are used as preservatives in a variety of personal care products. Both of these chemicals are also used as preservatives in foods. These chemicals are linked to several health concerns including endocrine disruption and organ-system toxicity, and due to these concerns, BHA has been banned for use in cosmetics in the European Union.

and Fragrance, musk ketone, musk xylene, galaxolide, tonalide HEALTH CONCERNS: Endocrine disruption, organ system toxicity, allergies and immunotoxicity, bioaccumulation

I found this site by chance, and it confirmed my suspicions about L’Oreal Cosmetics. There’s a difference between scare tactics but there is also a thing called putting your head in the sand. I’ve personally looked at the backs of ingredients, and scoured those ingredients on PubMed. I’m not one of the boys, but it’s because of these guys I got my head in the game. I encourage you guys to check out this link, and check out the red lists.
