Hi Beauty Brains I have been trying to help my sister to stop falling for marketing hype with products and she just seems to always fall in to the trap, (which we all have at one point or another). She read that this eye cream product is one of the best to use for fine lines etc, but from what I read of the ingredients its a waste of money, but I could be wrong. Can you look and see what you think, and if she should spend her money on this? Its not expensive but if it isn’t worth buying why bother? Just would like to help her so she stops spending money on stuff that will not work!

February 23, 2014 at 11:20 am #93741RandySMemberThis is Burts Bees Intense Hydration Eye Cream. I have no doubt that it does exactly what it claims to do:
Intensely hydrates dry skinHelps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinklesOf course ANY moisturizing cream can do this so there’s nothing special about the product. The only thing I have against it is that it contains fragrance (and fragrance allergens) which you certainly don’t need in a cream that you apply close to your eyes.It could moisturize better if it didn’t exclusively rely plant derived occlusive agents.February 23, 2014 at 7:52 pm #93743sarahfMemberI think it’s a little creepy that you can recognize a product so quickly from the ingredients list:)
February 23, 2014 at 8:01 pm #93745rozyisbackMemberReminds me I want to buy the Beauty Brains books for my grandmas so they aren’t duped by advertising. I have 4 grandmas because of adoption, marriage and divorce.
