Friend and I have a question – if vitamins could help hair and nails (we’ve read the old posts) wouldn’t ingested substances just help the new growth? Or would they make the substances secreted from the scalp better able to penetrate/help/etc.? So if it did work, you’d have to wait quite a while for those long lovely locks to show up? Or would the results show up sooner?
The science I’ve read says this: vitamins only help hair and nails grow better if your’e malnourished. If you’re eating a reasonable diet then you’re hair and nails are getting all the nutrition they need.
If someone has evidence to the contrary I’d love to see it but that’s what I’ve learned.
